101 Best Sandwiches in New York
Yum, yum, and yum.
Terrariums are making a comeback. Here is San Francisco’s very own Katie Goldman Macdonald of Botany Factory, as featured in the New York Times. Spotted on General Store.
How to do Rag Curls
This little how-to holds a special place in my heart because my lovely grandma Dorthy Ruth did this every night for YEARS.
The Sandra Bullock Trade
An easy read, but interesting nonetheless.
I joined the Slow Readers Book Club, an online reading group inspired by the Slow Movement. Our first book is Jeannette Walls’ Half Broke Horses. Can’t wait—especially since I’m known as “the reader” in some circles of friends. For more info and to be a part of the festivities, check out our.city.lights.
Victionary’s Simply Pattern is a really beautiful book I picked up at William Stout Architectural Books—worth the trip if you’re at all interested in architecture/design/fine arts.
Modern Love
Touching story in the New York Times by Laura M. Munson. Via A Cup of Jo.

The Sartorialist by Scott Schuman is now available for pre-order at Amazon. Unfortunately, the hardcover is $114.
I CAN’T WAIT. For me and my life, this has been the single most influential blog—one of the first I began following quite religiously. I recommend those interested in the movement of current pop culture, regardless of your field, be aware of Scott’s contribution to fashion, personal style, and photography. For more info, check out his blog here.

2009's most fashionable women as decided by men.style.com
You’re typicals are on the list (Chloe Sevigny, Erin Wassan), but I was glad to see a few newbies (Alexa Chung! Garance Dore!) that I like to think must have been Scott Schuman’s influence on the panel. Also, most of these women have long hair, furthering my life conclusion that super short hair is never sexy. But watch, my mind will change (snap!) like that and next week you’ll see me sporting a pixie cut.
